Where is everybody getting their screen protectors from? This will be my first touchscreen phone, so I am clueless.

I also need to buy one of the protective holders too.

I for example was 29 when I ordered, now 30 and expecting shipping by the time I reach 40.

Incidentally, MPD ship by Royal Mail Special Delivery NOT Recorded, which unfortunately DO charge more for Saturday deliveries. So I do not think our chances are good of getting it before Monday.

I would happily pay a little bit more for Saturday delivery at this point, but MPD do not seem to give that option presumably because they would not necessarily be expecting to ship on a Friday.

Its annoying though, when I got contract phones (much much cheaper ones than the N900) before they were delivered on Saturdays.

You only pay extra for guaranteed Saturday Specials. Still possible they'll turn up :)

Very true, but with the Royal Mail backlog - chances are slim :( - very rarely get saturday deliveries where i am :(

Saying that DHL: delivered to me at 10pm last night, was a bit of a shock!

Depends which store they will ship from.

My recent orders from play.com were delivered pretty much normally. I think it will only be a problem if yours is shipping from London as they had the most strikes.

Re: Mobile Phones Direct N900 Customers

Personally, I will avoid screen protectors and just keep my N900 in a soft cloth case like I did my Xperia X1.

The stylus should NOT scratch the screen, unless you are really careless and jab the screen like you are trying to murder someone.

The ONLY time I ever scratched a screen was when I accidentally put my keys in the same pocket. Since I learnt from that mistake and got the soft cloth case (and am more careful which pocket things are kept in) I haven't had any problems.

If you are worried about dropping your N900 then a screen protected is the least of your worries anyway. You are probably more likely to break something important like the glass of the LCD itself, the case, the keyboard, etc. I know the touch screen would be the LEAST of my worries if I dropped it.

My order actually did the same, two things sent the same day but arrived a day apart - but one was sent in the morning and the other the afternoon, so it made sense.

I have no idea which Nokia Retail store is closest to me in Sheffield, I am dreadful at geography. :p

I have one of those things, where i have to keep things in the same pocket - as it just feels right, unfortunatley it's phone and keys in the same pocket! - so will get a nice leathery case for it i think :)
Screen protector is just incase i am a dumbass n slide it on something, but can allways come off if i dont like it :)
