Marxian I just noticed an old bug with the old video player is also present in this one. Sometimes two videos will start at the same time with overlapping audio. The only way to correct it when it happens is to close cutetube and then open it again. It never happens with the other video players. Anyway, if you pick one of the other players it's flawless. Amazing app :)

Could be a QtMobility bug. Both versions use the same API, effectively. The player gets deleted from memory when the window is closed, but perhaps the source media is not being cleared.

I don't know if this is the only cause of the bug, but if you let the player to play video to its very end so the player closes itself, next time you open a video it will launch multiple times(and the problem will persist until you close app as you have said). I have tried it several times and it worked. So basically, just close the video before player does it, and you should be fine. :)

However, I found one more issue. Certain videos look

It stays in this state for the whole video and happens always not just sometimes.

Seems to be the same problem as with the QML player. I'll see if I can work around it.

It's a known problem. I doubt it can be fixed at the application level. It's either a problem with the Qt API, or the backend.

FINALLY! I can watch youtube videos in portrait mode, using in-built cutetube player. Thanks.
But there are some problems with it:
- minor: seeking proper place to put video at the beginning of the playback
- major: missing GUI elements (You only see cut off progress bar at the bottom of the screen).

What the heck I purchased this app yesterday in the store and payed with my phonebill. I got a transaction-id and all by SMS but it would not let me download it just said "maximum number of download attemps reached" even though I had just tried one time.

That error message was still there a day later and after reboot etc. So I have not been able to download it. Now when I go check it's back to normal but it says I have to pay for it again?! No thanks.

The Nokia store seems seriously buggy. It's not the first issue I've had. Had similar issues with their music store.

Please complain to Nokia and get a refund. I don't want to take your money if you aren't getting what you paid for. Unfortunately, publishers have virtually no say over distribution and payment matters.

As You can see, playback control GUI elements are missing, so for example to return back to search results, I must put playback to the end and wait for it to stop etc.

I see. I assumed that you were referring to the Harmattan version because the Fremantle version doesn't support video playback in potrait mode. The video player is fixed to landscape in my code. Are you using something that overrides this and forces portrait mode?

I did not implement portrait playback, because I assumed that it would not work, based on previous experience. If I can get it working without forced rotation, I will include it in the next update.

The transfer delegate should a maximum of two lines, but I only tested using the default font. The font you are using has smaller line spacing, which results in the third line being partly visible.

XTube is for Fremantle only. The Harmattan version has event feed integration. It shows your latest subscription videos, so you need to be signed in to a YouTube/Dailymotion account to use it.

Yes, I`m using forced rotation feature of CSSU (via transitions.ini).
Fixed landscape orientation (in code) vs fixed portrait orientation (on device) is probably a reason, why video output have problems to get proper place and size at the start of the playback (as reported previously "minor: seeking proper place to put video at the beginning of the playback") on my N900.

It's either the backend (gstreamer), or the QtMobility multimedia APIs (cuteTube uses QMediaPlayer and QVideoWidget to display the video). Since playback using gstreamer seems to work fine using other players, I'd say the problem lies in the Qt APIs. I can only test against Qt 4.7.4, because I'm using CSSU on my only device, so I don't know if the problem exists in Qt 4.7.0 also.

I found that no one mention that:
1. The account subscribe, the last subscribers got duplicate show
2. In event part, seem only few latest event can show, not all latest subscribers news can show out
3. Sometimes the event show duplicate

I am running CSSU Stable on my device. No installation issues here. cuteTube does not depend on that package, so I'm not sure of the cause. If you attempt installation via apt on the command-line, you might get some more useful output.

Hi I need help, cant install 1.4.2 version, it says "unable to trace installation package dependencies" btw i uninstalled 1.4.0 prior to downloading 0.4.2, does it have something to do with that? Anybody has a solution?
