I live in London - well, South East of... not really affected by strike backlogs. Spoke to my postman - all thye backlog is junk mail. They try to get everything else out on time. Anything Special and Recorded takes priority. I've had Play orders and plenty off Ebay and Amazon turn up normally the past week (inc my 16gb memory card for my N900!! Woo!). Already got a case for it sitting on my desk. I'm all good to go!

Mine will be shipped on Friday and arrive Saturday.

They all get shipped from Southampton I believe :)

I'm sure you'll be in the same batch too - I think I only got a call, as I had a dodgy PAC, and they needed a new one. I doubt they're calling every person with a pre-order!

Sounds promising as I ordered 24th September.

That said, it sounds like MPD post from your nearest Nokia Retail store so it could be that yours has stock but my nearest one does not. I certainly hope you are right though, would be wicked if it was actually delivered on Friday.

just a quick thought i have to waite for my pac code but i dont wnat to miss the batch so could i just order it when it comes change the number to my existing number when the pac comes? its also gong to be on contract

Since everyone's talking about screen protectors. I've got the official Nokia case (had since mid Nov). Since most of my scratches on my N95, happened in my pocket or whilst lying on the "side". I think I'll only ever use my finger or stylus (never my nail) so shouldn't scratch it!

With regards to PAC codes - if you're on a T-Mobile contract, you can switch your number AFTER you're connected.

If you're on Voda, you will need to provide the PAC code before you switch or you'll lose your number.

A few people have asked this - you're welcome to check their respective websites, but its definitely correct. I've done number ports to both companies before and had it confirmed by MPD.

Just bought invisible shield, its pretty awesome i had one for my iphone, definitely recommend it for the n900

Yeah same but bare in mind the mass email wasnt real shipping confirmation, i'd imagine order status will change when our orders actually get packed up and sent on their way.

By the way when i say real shipping confirmation i mean something like

"your order has now been shipped
order num #####
Expected delivery blah blah"

Don't know that it is in stock yet, might mean they know for certain that
they will be getting them by friday and can start shipping then.

Maybe they sent me a wrong one :confused: but with an invoice that says n900 x6 n97 etc.. I`m sure it`s too small for n900, I`ll give it to girlfriend and buy something from nokia.

i bought one of those invisable shields for my samsung pixon , and i must say that they are very good, apparantly the material that they use, is used on helicopter blades. quite fiddily though when putting the protector on.
