Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
Thanks mate.
I am concerned that Android has access to my eMMC. It has access MyDocs, but can it go deeper and even reach my RootFs? All programs have access to eMMC - We may need to be careful if it can go deep into emmc. |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
DJ_Steve:
I started running Android at 11:30pm off a full charge, it went dead at 3:00am. During this time the screen was constantly on (not even turned off once), occasional web browsing, browsing facebook, 2 widgets (twitter and facebook) checking every 30 minutes, email checking every 30 minutes and a long time downloading the update for the app store. (approx 1 hour) I'll test real world usage sometime this week. As an added note, the processor was constantly on 500mhz (never went up or down) which I assume is due to something Android related. |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
guys I can not change the permissions of my system/app folder. i have tried sudo chmod -r 777 /system/app
but still getting "so such file director" error, i am in the media/098...... folder which is my sd card plz help me here |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
Why do you need to change permissions?
You should not have to. Maybe you should redo it over again, when you do anything, always do it in root (sudo). Even when you copy the contents to Android rootfs to SD. I have not had an issues, done it 3 times now. 2 different SD cards. |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
i am unable to install any application so was told to change the permissions for system/app folder. when ever i try to install any application i m getting not enough space error though have more than 3 gig space on my sd card.
|
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
any one there to solve my problem???
|
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
Don't be so impatient.
Where do you have the 3GB? How is your SD card setup? (Partitions) Click CTRL button, goto settings and check Phone and SD card and see what you have available. You should have SD: 27GB (or whatever you N900 has). below: Available storage: 1.3GB (my spare on Rootfs/Android location on SD card). |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
in my sd card settings
total space 27 gb available space 15 gb internal storage available space 3.3gb i have used the guide given here to format my 8 gb card. every thing works fine, sound works but apps i cant install. |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
Who is the owner of the SD card? Root or a user? (I can't copy anything to Android partition unless I'm root)
This could be an issue? On a linux box, check owner (I'm using XFCE) and try change to 777 using a Linux box. Or you could try and repartition the SD card. Login to Terminal as ROOT. |

Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
the sdcard IS NOT the problem for not being able to install apps. android doesn not do apps2sd itself. (not yet anyway:) ) the /datya folder is where apps are installed and where i am suspecting theirs a problem
|
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
Great work DJ. My constant reboot problem resolved after deleting the boot.log in the root of ext3 partition.
Now also the music works fine on mp3 as well. No more Dark Tranquility - Black Silence, White Noise songs :D No earphone support I suppose :) I installed Blackmoon File Browser from AndApp Store to browse the 32 GB SD content. Anyone knows how to make a playlist in android? |
Re: [Android] NITDroid V2 Development Topic
press and hold on songs if i remember rightly :) good to hear it worked
