Just playing around with emelfm2 in Freemantle, trying to figure out how to make it more optimised for the interface while preserving usability - this is just running an un-modified stock 0.6.2 build. ;) :)

Nice.
What are the apps in the personal launcher?
Some I recognize and some I've never seen.

Wow, how is that done? I have no idea how I could get a desktop like this on my n810. Even the obnoxious three task navigator buttons are gone.

What is APPS?
It is a ThinkLinux theme without tasknavigator.

Re: Show off your Maemo 2 - 4 screenshots

Hey Kroll, by removing tasknavigator, what does that do to an app that isn't running in full screen?

Can you show a picture of say MicroB that doesn't take up the full screen?

@Den
I would have thought for sure you would be using one of shin's SVG Clocks and his calendar as well. I guess I never knew you. :)

I posted the screenshot with my theme (without tasknavigator) on the previous page (post #1099). Or u can watch a few videos of mine here http://www.youtube.com/user/DenielOlivo
It like a fullscreen, but statusbar is still visible.

That's so creative on how you decided to remove the tasknavigator from the desktop. :)

When will you be able to package that together for us to use?

Also, is it possible to remove the status bar as well?

May be about 15 of April... I'm VERY busy right now and I need to do a lot of different things in this theme. Moreover it is my first theme and I learning how to create a theme while I'm creating (Yo dawg, we heard you like to learn, so we put the theme into your theme so you can learn while you learn XD).
So please, give me some time and i will do it as soon as i can.
Moreover, I gonna ask my friend to make a nice application switcher based on skippy-xd so it will looks like maemo 5 switcher or better... i hope.

Thanks.

Decided to change the desktop on my N810 a bit since I've had it looking the same for a long time and tried to go for a bit of a steampunk feel this time.

First is of the desktop itself.
Second image is of Telescope using a more 'rusty' background when switching over to that app.

Large version of screen 1.

Large version of screen 2

Getting an error on that 2nd screenshot.

Never heard of steampunk until now. It's definitely out there.

Looking good! :)

It's from a device running a previous version of Maemo as the thread subject indicates.

Quite amused by the irony that most N8x0 owners have been beavering away trying to make their devices more maemo5 like, and here's at least one who wants to go back the other way...

Hey Jo, do yer wanna swap...? :)

And whilst I am on, here's a screenshot of Telescope on my N810 with mediaplayer, gpodder, mauku, and microb running. Telescope is a very nice task switcher, and I was amazed to see that the thumbnails updated in realtime, even wayfinder satnav. TomTom, Garmin, or iphones can't do that....

heh, what is needed is a layout editor, much like what one can do with panels in most DEs on desktop linux.

only problem then is what to do if some user shoots himself in the foot by removing a vital part of the interface...
