Whatsup - Harmattan client [UPDATED 15-10-2015]
Registration failed in watsup 1.2.9, Reason says: old_version
Please help. :o |
Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client [UPDATED 15-10-2015]
About the e2e encryption problem. Was it fixed? Because I had registered my number on WhatsApp and later i tried it on whatsup and it did work. If i remember correctly there was a version targeting this issue right?
If in-fact it was fixed, then second post of the thread is misleading, says that there is no workaround yet. |
Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client [UPDATED 15-10-2015]

It's bombing out for me to. I did an upgrade and then a reboot.
Whatsup-log.txt had one line "Creating MainPage Instance..." |
Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client [UPDATED 25-01-2016]
Same here. Shows the "loading" icon, then nothing happens and closes by itself.
Currently using 1.2 PR1.3. |

Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client [UPDATED 25-01-2016]
A little followup, i edited MyTextArea.qml and changed:
file:///usr/lib/qt4/imports/com/nokia/meego/UIConstants.js for: file://usr/lib/qt4/imports/com/nokia/meego/UIConstants.js and then it runs some little more, but then it complains about not finding many graphics files: Code:
Starting Whatsup. |

Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client [UPDATED 25-01-2016]
HtheB, would you also mind giving us a bit more details on who's working on it?
Afaik Whatsup was cepi's work. But the last updates were pushed out by you, and in this last one you credited ceene. I'm not complaining, I am just curious to know what's the development (or maintenance) behind whatsup, who has the source, and so on :-) |

Sure it is in github or some likewise accessible repository... Just pull in master and compile it yourself. :) |

Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client [UPDATED 25-01-2016]
Actually i could not find any recent version either.
I would definitely like to contribute and keep the N9 connected (got years of qt/c+/embedded background). But the current version seems to be nowhere around anymore. |

Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client [UPDATED 25-01-2016]
Well that's obvious...
Would be a good thing to happen if a halfways recent source tarball would fall from the skies into a place like zippyshare. |

Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client [UPDATED 25-01-2016]
Now I am very curious as to what that reason is...

Guys. This suspence is killing me and it feels almost as good as slicing my nuts. I have lost all the meaningless contacts / bantering online due to this unfortunate event. My GF is bugging me via skype, I'm getting worried text messages from all over..and some sailor troll just shouted from his boat "hihii, this one works".
I'm losing it: I'm staring in the eyes of the evil warehouse mole as we speak, punching it's face attempting to get a new version of whatsup out of it. I know he has it. I regret to say this, but great success is yet to be seen using this method. I'm thinking about creating a seperate folder and putting the darn mole in it all by himself..alone, in the darkness, without connection to other apps..maybe some solitude in the hole will result in new version..or releasing the source code to the world again? Yes, this shall happen. In the meantime: thanks for all the effort to HtheB & ceene! |
Re: Whatsup - Harmattan client [UPDATED 25-01-2016]
cut the faggotry folks..just wait..or switch to android phone.
