Re: [iPhone4] Loses Reception When You Touch the Side (Who says Apple products are "Better Quality"?)
How about all those sheep that were conned into buying a bumper case?
Will they get the cost of that refunded? Seeing as that article implies that they needn't have splashed out for one in the first place. |
Re: [iPhone4] Loses Reception When You Touch the Side (Who says Apple products are "Better Quality"?)
OK... so they likely used "link quality" as their basis for bars instead of actual signal strength? That's how I interpret it from their letter released today.
EDIT: I can not believe it: They admit that they made a bug/mistake in software... |

Any RF engineers looking for work? :)
It is not just a software issue by the looks of it. http://www.ecnmag.com/News/2010/07/I...needs-you.aspx I found the FCC filings I posted earlier because I was interested in the design. I could not believe anyone would expose an intentional radiator. Oops, I was wrong. Mobile from my N900 :D Take care. |

Here on maemo.org we don't delete bad comments on the n900 like apple does on their products.

Re: [iPhone4] Loses Reception When You Touch the Side (Who says Apple products are "Better Quality"?)
heard about the conference on a popular radio station news broadcast. radio news!
I have a feeling it would be a public display to try and silence the masses by inviting the press and saying "there is no problem" then the press goons will eat up the "look bigger bars and less signal" as a fix that they will report to the masses. If people are lucky free bumpers might be announced. |
