My experience is the same as Nicolai's - works for me, tho it surely can lag quite a bit. Nicolai, has the circle spot focus feature of fcam disappeared for you?

Yes, I heard this is a Qt-Bug.

Has anyone noticed that when recording video using camera-ui2 in CSSU that if the recording is longer then the set sleep time the screen will blank? I would have thought that when in record mode the camera-ui would tell the phone to stay away. Perhaps I flubbed a configuration option.

Re: camera-ui2 (no a part of CSSU) (updated 01.05)

Just in case you think, there isn't any further
development:
This camera-ui is now part of the CSSU.
Bug fixes and new features are in the git-repository
https://gitorious.org/community-ssu/camera-ui
You can wait for the next CSSU update or take the binary
from the first post.
As the UI uses new icons, you have to copy those manually,
it is described in the first post
(only needed if you don't want to wait for the new CSSU,
the camera-ui package from the CSSU will install the icons for you)

bugfixes and features from the lates version at
(by MohammadAG and me)
https://gitorious.org/community-ssu/camera-ui:

* Use camera key to close preview window.
* Check if what gnomevfs returns is NULL, otherwise the app segfaults.
* Disable display blanking while recording video.
* add sound effects (focus done, capture, start recording)
* moved focus distance label to upper right corner
* shorter autofocus delay (changed from 1 sec to 0.5 sec)
* reset recording timer when recording stops

@Nicolai
Has anyone reported this bug related to the camera-Ui2 yet?

When recording video, pressing "pause" and then "stop" freeze the camera apps and it still seems to be stuck on "pause" mode.

Nicolai, any chance of putting back the link to the binary, either as a reply or preferably in the first post?
