Steve, Do we need to use this new Multiboot thing? I like my old Bootmenu and don't really want to uninstall it. Lazy person here ;)
I'm happy to flash my kernel again, but want to stay in RD (Ubuntu) and want to use BootMenu (old).

nah multiboots required now as we will be moving totally away from the normal maemo kernels before long

If you use Multiboot you'll still have support for Maemo since it flashes the kernel on demand.

So this is multiboot v0.2.5 that is needed or is 0.1.x still OK?

I have 0.2.5 but find that it doesn't like to boot back into Maemo after loading NITDroid. Takes two restarts and wont boot Maemo if charging.

seems new multiboot quite troublesome ! i have had plenty of trouble still trying to fix and with zip linux savvy am struggling , hoping to remove new multiboot and start again but unable to remove so stuck... also how to remove nitroid partition on micro sd using win xp ? when i format it only formats fat partition not linux , any hrlp would be greatly appreciated .

kexec for arm sucks (as the meego folks will attest to)

new multiboot is fine over here,

ill be posting new rootfs etc soon with howto etc
