I'd watch that, but I'd prefer that it by done by a very good doco maker, not some hack.

But, why do you care? Aren't you the guy that gave up on the promise of desktop Linux/FOSS making the transition to embedded/mobile years go?
Aren't you the guy who thinks Android only is more than good enough?

No, I'm pretty sure I made it clear that I gave up on Maemo and MeeGo getting any kind of traction--I'm also pretty sure I'm right about those. Also--isn't Android running Linux? Also--isn't Ubuntu getting some pretty good traction with mobile? Maybe you weren't talking to me. My mistake. Carry on! I didn't mean to interrupt your ambiguous but odd conversation.

What would be really cool and awesome idea was if someone could do a documentary of the competing underdog OSes. The viewer could watch the progress and see how hard the crows are working. Interviews, attend some arranged meetings, follow some worker a whole day during release day, stuff like that.

Jolla vs Tizen vs Ubuntu. (firefox doesn't fit in the idea yet).

The series would be called Game of... OS.

If the documentary won't be created it's a solid marketing strategy to create your own video story. Hope jolla, Ubuntu or Tizen can do that.

Why are you leaving out Haiku and ReactOS?

So you do still hope for some traction for their descendants... Nemo/Sailfish.
Or you continue to maintain the "See, I told you so!" attitude that their failure is a given?

Eh? Since when?

I was trying to be clear, it was a honest Qn, based on a long posting pattern.

Yes, but the best docs are create bu unknown directors. As soon as they get famous they lost the touch.

Michel Moore vs Malik Bendjelloul

They are innovative in that there's now Twitter, and there's a "hunt them all" game involved - hunting for (reliable) information, that is.

Let's keep our (potential) users and devs fit! Let's introduce a random surprise moment! It's so exiting and innovative! You see, we are definitely unlike old industry!

Old dinosaur Nokia instead relied on the old-fashioned and seemingly deprecated usage of product- and platform-specific websites, where most information and news were conveniently aggregated.
