@penguinbait:
I think I fall into the grey area... :rolleyes:

- I'm not on Nokia payroll
- I'm not contractor

Therefore I wasn't sure and the instrucions ask to apply in such case... :rolleyes:

Best to always feign ignorance, and apologize later :cool:

So then what is your relation to Nokia and how do you have access to all the fun stuff? :)

Thoughtfix, or anyone else having actually held the N810 in their hands, could you say anything about the display's viewing angle? The N800 has a viewing angle I'm not used to from any LCD device I've owned, you can virtually watch it from nearly any angle. I always wondered if the price to pay for that was that it wasn't transflective..

The viewing angle on the N810 looks pretty much identical. At least I'm holding both of them in my hands, rotating them and I can't really tell any difference. So yes, it's also very good.

Also, the 2GB of internal memory is mostly occupied by the map data.
There's likely only a few hundred meg free.

Can the map data be deleted if someone doesn't want to use GPS? Any estimation on how much storage might become free if the maps are deleted?

Can you say if the wifi driver is a bit more stable using kismet, if we can really do monitoring with it, and if we can make IV packet injection ?

Thanks

Yes, they can be downloaded / added / updated / removed one region at a time. No problems with that issue. The size of the map depends on the region. For instance Scandinavia is about 150 megs.

Can they be put on an external card instead of keeping them on the internal card?
