If I start X Terminal & type 'sudo gainroot', and enter rootme as the password, it says "Sorry, try again." :-( Do you have any idea why this is happening? |

I'm currently running OS2008 on my N800, so I'm hampered in investigation. |
Re: Application manager error
My App Mgr Settings were set to refresh every time I logged into it and the last time it worked was on the 5th of November. I now get an error stating that it is "Unable to refresh list" which is really irritating because I had just uninstalled Rhapsody and now it won't reinstall! Just because I was cleaning stuff up... there goes my 12.99 for this month! It now looks like there was an update to Rhapsody in the meantime as well! They better get it back up and running soon! I use Rhapsody all the time to show, teach and practice different versions of songs!

You should see the problem in the log and can hopefully correct it by temporarily disabling the offending repository, however it could be more serious than that in which case you may want to post the contents here... |
Re: Application manager error
IThis is what came up... but I've got no clue what it means or what to do with it.
osso-application-installer 4.46, UI version 2 W: Couldn't stat source package list http://openbossa.indt.org.br bora/games Packages (/var/lib/apt/lists/openbossa.indt.org.br_games_dists_bora_games_binar y-armel_Packages) - stat (2 No such file or directory) W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems |
Re: Application manager error
It looks like that one repository is at fault. You can disable it in your /etc/apt/sources.list file or via application manager.
I'm using OS2008, so my app manager my be different from yours. The menu is: Application manager->Tools->Application catalog. |
Re: Application manager error
OK... Deleted it!
I just did an online chat with Rhapsody Support and this the pertanent part of the conversation: Martyn: I am using Rhapsody on my Nokia N800 and after uninstalling, it won't reinstall Rhapsody Support Person: Martyn, I have checked with this issue. RealNetworks is aware of this issue and is working to resolve it. We expect it to be a temporary problem. When it is fixed, you will be able to install Rhapsody player on your Nokia N800 phone. Rhapsody Support Person: I really regret for the inconveniences caused. Martyn: OK... Do they have an approximate date that they may have the N800 issue taken care of? Rhapsody Support Person: I am sorry to say this as of now we have not idea about this. We are gravely working on this issue and we are expecting the issue to be resolved in few days. ========================================== Talked to Nokia Support and got sent directly to the web page with the Rhapsody App. ver. 1.1: http://www.nokiausa.com/A4410957 I'm Locked, Loaded & Rockin Again! Lesson Learned, "Don't load 'ver. 2.1' unless you got OS2008 running!" :D |
