Re: Cheapest all-you-can-eat data plan?
Let's bring this up again - what's the cheapest all you can eat data plan in the US WITHOUT violating the TOS?
Almost all of the plans mentioned here, except the SPRINT Sero $40, consider tethering a violation. |
Re: Cheapest all-you-can-eat data plan?
The $5.99 T-Mobile plan is /not/ full internet access. It's usually limited to /just/ T-Mobile pages, however, T-Mo has, for whatever reason, turned the restrictions off, for now. They could turn them back on at any moment. If you're not under contract right now, looking at the Sprint SERO plan (Google it for information on how to get it). $30/month + tax gets me 500 anytime minutes, unlimited N&W, unlimited texts, and, here's the kicker, unlimited data.

Re: Cheapest all-you-can-eat data plan?
T-mobile publishes this information on their website:
-zonesŪ and T-MobileWeb Settings NOTE: T-Mobile Customer Care provides minimal support for phones not sold by T-Mobile USA. The following settings are provided for configuring non-T-Mobile branded mobile phones for use with the t-zones and T-MobileWeb data services. Not all links and features provided within T-MobileWeb will be compatible with non-T-Mobile branded phones. T-Mobile provides an over-the-air wireless configurator that allows you to easily configure the most popular phones for use with t-zones. To begin setting up your phone, access the Wireless Configurator. If you are unable to use the Wireless Configurator to configure your phone, you may type the settings manually using the information provided below. These settings are specific to T-Mobile USA and will only work with an active T-Mobile USA account. Primary IP address: 216.155.165.050 Secondary IP address: Blank APN name: wap.voicestream.com Data bearer: GPRS Profile name: GPRS Username: Blank Bearer: Data Home page: http://wap.myvoicestream.com Seems like T-mobile is offering to allow use of a t-zones account by other devises. Re: Cheapest all-you-can-eat data plan?
From previous threads at HoFo I was under the impression that T-Mobile limited their tethering to their own web and trying to tether for unlimited data violated their TOS.
I've now found this http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1347185 which indicates it's not and you can run your own proxy server, which I've done before with HottProxy. Looks like T-mobile may be gaining another customer. |
Re: Cheapest all-you-can-eat data plan?
I can not from any website, including this one (using the data below or elsewhere on this website) get the T-Zones working fully on my N810. I can only get email (POP3) working from my GMRS phone to the N810. Any suggestions or step by step procedure that has worked recently with anyone?
