maemo.org - Talk - what a fiasco !!!

I can appreciate someone like Garfi's first reaction. So while some have maybe heard the same rantings many times, for the new owner newbie who has just invested in this hardware and all that goes with it, this kind of circumstance is a complete First.
Nowhere in my computing experience as a knowledgeable 'user' have I ever seen this kind of disfunction. So, you know, for someone coming from the PC/Mac or -even- something like Palm, this is a bit of a letdown.

Yes we have all heard that, but for these new users of which I am one of them, they see this Forum here as the place where the real pulse is happening and perhaps 'presume' it is the channel to TPTB (the powers that be) at Nokia. For a newbie it is hard to sort out exactly who is part of what, as they Google along at first, to find all the N800 stuff they can find. ie Nokia/Maemo/Garage/Blogs/Repositories etc.

So my comment is to try to clarify WHY some of the newb's are losing it and choosing here to express it. This is the place.

Patience with us newbs and keep it real by recognizing that the situation does 'suck' and everyone knows it. That's why everyone is ranting including a few 'seniors' who I have read gave up on the tablet all together.
