Re: KDE Settings Recommendations?
Noticed the other day if you drop out of KDE on N800, you can still VNC into the N800

Well I am sitting down trying to figure out what updates I need to make Thank God for PCQ :) About the menu button, I like to leave it for hildon apps. It usually works when the app is fullscreen Here is what I am thinking so far. Right Click On/Off (F5) Tab (Fn)(>) Pipe Symbol (Fn)(<) Next Desktop (Shift)(F5) Move Window (CTRL)(F5) Maximize/Un-Maximize (CTRL) (F7) Minimize Window (CTRL) (F8) Close Window (CTRL) (F6) Joystick Kernel Module qjoypad Sticky Keys ON FIX for microb fonts Add visible cursor, possible choices? Somehow I missed the accessibility package when I compiled 3.5.8, this will be included, but this will be a NEW KDE358.tar.bz2 file. You will still be able to use the original one, but you will not have the accessability options, Kmag, screen magnifier and Text to speech engine, (which uses flite) Ksay it and Kmouth. You can type things in tablet and have it speak. It will also read webpages, and read kopete im messages. ???? |
Re: KDE Settings Recommendations?
This was a dealbreaker for me bu I think I have it figured out. I couldn't stand going back to it2008 from kde and having the browsser fonts messed up. I made font changes in kde until the microb browser fonts changed. I'm pretty sure the solution is in konkerer base font settings. If I remember correctly, there are advanced font settings and then another spot to change them. Anyways, change them to nokia sans, things should look better when going back to it2008.

settings-configure konquerer-appearance-font setting-nokia sans..

Re: KDE Settings Recommendations?
Sorry, but I'm trying to figure this out. Long story short, power down all the way and restart and your fonts will be fine. It doesn't matter what you do in konquerer. My system crashed in kde initially and I restarted and that's why I thought my settings in the browser made a differnence. All along it was the rebooting that made the difference.:)

Re: KDE Settings Recommendations?
Those sound like the big ones I've run into.
Might want to include a link to Battery-Status. I think the alarm daemon should run by default. Took me a bunch of headscratching to get Calendar to ring bells. Didn't happen until I loaded the standalone KAlarm, which loaded the daemon, which then autoloaded itself thereafter. I agree with Powder, Nokia Sans is a good default. |
