LOL, does anyone realize that the browser supports ftp. Just type FTP://[URL or IP Address]
|
HahhaHAhHAhahahhah... I'm smacking myself in the head. I'd still like to have a GUI-based dedicated FTP client but that's *really* good to know.
You made a cynical jerk smile on a Friday afternoon whilst stuck at work. Cheers. |
You can look, but don't touch...

I think the browser FTP functionality is great, but have anyone figured out how you can actually download the files in the ftp source drive? I can launch them directly into the browser, but I miss the "Save Link As" button, which will enable me to save the file to my 770.

Sure I know that and I bet you would not find even one modern browser that does not support ftp download. Even Safari is able to download from ftp-sources ;-) But as Odin already said... |
MaemoFTP for IT 2006
I've ported the MaemoFTP now also for the 2006 edition. The port to 2006 was done quite quickly, and contains only one bugfix (a one that didn't occur in the 2005 versioni, at least very often). Maybe introduces some new bugs, though I hope not.

My guess is that the old BM file(s) are squirreling it up. Where do I need to go to clear those out? TIA |
I created a bookmark (ftp.cdrom.com) and tried to connect... the bookmark window remained open, the connect statusbar was animated, and it crashed there like it was in an infinite loop. The only thing that worked was the power button. Could've been a freak thing, I'll try again later.
|
I also tried it connecting to a Windows XP PC from an app called Bulletproof FTP server.
It would connect then go thru the password routine, then go to the default directory and then crash. I restarted the 770 just to make sure it wasn't a memory issue. Once again it crashed. This application looks great, just a tweak or two more and I think this will be ready for prime time. FinTux Thanks for all your efforts! Forgot to mention that I didn't have old Bookmarks to squirrel up the program like another user mentioned. |
Thanks fintux and welcome to the forum.
Same crash-problems here with me and bookmarks are not deletable. |
