It looks like there is a bug in the YouTube plugin. When you hit the hardware "back" button when in full-screen mode it just goes to a black screen and stays there. The only way out of it I've found is to hit the switcher button and close Canola.

By the way YouTube videos are playing much smoother now. Thanks.

Hi Hal : for now now yes. BUT I PERSONALLY asked a system that would work ANYWHERE. So it can be added as we go. To avoid multiple feedbacks from different sources we have only in music today :)

*also we want to avoid cross-listing because the change of players -> back to screen would be very confusing :)

But: Add Tags (recursive Adds) and PLaylist for podcast, videocast, and others will be available soon!

A big thank you to everybody working on Canola! This new release really is awesome - fun to play around, very usable, lots of really "sweet" eye candy. Great work you did!

Thank you to the canola team. Another good release. Videos now retain aspect ratio when playing full screen, Yeah!!!

Album cover downloader still hangs for me. It has done this for the last 2 or 3 releases. Somehow it hangs when trying to load album cover for "Classic Queen" album. I end up killing it and then I have no album covers. I wonder if I can bypass cover download for this one album by storing a local cover image and have cover download complete for rest of the albums. How is one supposed to store an album cover locally - a jpeg image with a specific filename in the album directory, or something else?

can you try downloading only this album's cover? go to the 3-album screen, and click options, update album covers. It will try just for it, and you can say from where do you want. Try also removing the support now for anything else then amazon

Yes, you just put a cover.jpg on the same folder :)

Hi! So I am having difficulty updating Canola2 as well. I actually uninstalled, ran canola-cleanup, rebooted, and tried reinstalling canola2 beta 9 with no success. Any ideas as to why I'm unable to update? I have followed the steps above, and tried some other steps to update...please help. I may have to go back to beta 8...it's hard going w/out canola when you get used to it.

Nice update! It feels a lot smoother.
How can I test the UPNP functionality, I have a upnp server a home but it does not show up (but alas I do not know where to check either ;-) ).

edit: forgot the upnp got it's own thread...
