Re: Diablo & N800 camera question
I had the problem before I installed the camera app.
But I do believe I have it fixed. I removed the camera app, shutdown the tablet and removed the battery for 10 minutes. The camera appears to working correctly, I'll check it again tomorrow. |

Re: Diablo & N800 camera question
My dad's N800 did work using XL1200c way.
But I did it a different way because it didn't work for me. (Make sure camera app is uninstalled) Shutdown N800 Take out battery for 10 mins Replace battery ****Pull out the Camera**** Start N800 Start New Internet Call (it should work) I reboot with the camera back in and it was working fine. I installed Camera app and it worked too. :) Enjoy! |
Re: Diablo & N800 camera question
Camera app installed, Internet call autostarts when camera pops out, image flips fine.

Re: Diablo & N800 camera question
As I reported before, it was not working. I have done nothing but now find its both autostarting and flips.....????

I had the same problem and followed your steps... but I didn't remove the battery! Just shutdown... pullout camera and boot again. |
Re: Diablo & N800 camera question
I tried the posted instructions without removing the battery and it did not work. Then I retried and removed the battery for abount 30 seconds - still no joy. So I followed every step as outlined - sucess!! Reinstalled the camera app and still working - so far (time will tell if it sticks)
the reason removing the battery would make a diffrence is that almost all electronics now days does not realy turn off when you power down. the only way to remove low level hardware settings is to compleatly power off the hardware i.e. remove the battery for a time. |
Re: Diablo & N800 camera question
Its a bug for sure. I turned off my N800 yesterday and started it up with the camera in, the screen doesn't auto flip and auto start. :( The instructions work only for a workaround. I think if you complete the instructions and keep the N800 on stand by and not completely turn it off, it should work. Overall, just wait for an update. :)

Re: Diablo & N800 camera question
when I rechecked now, the camera now works fine. My N800 did do several auto updates but not to the camera application.

Re: Diablo & N800 camera question
