Re: Using the N8x0 AS a bluetooth keyboard
If the PS3 works with a standard BT keyboard, this should work.
(BTW, VDVsx, here's another user looking forward to the release!) |
Re: Using the N8x0 AS a bluetooth keyboard
I see an office prank tsunami forthcoming... :-)

Re: Using the N8x0 AS a bluetooth keyboard
would it also work as a keyboard for an S60 phone? there's an option to connect to BT-keyboards on it. would be cool for text messages.

Re: Using the N8x0 AS a bluetooth keyboard
It says it uses the Bluetooth HID profile and I cannot see the S60 phone not using it :)

Re: Using the N8x0 AS a bluetooth keyboard
it didn't work with xkbd-bthid when i tried some months ago; that's why i'm wondering. still, this could have been a problem with xkbd-bthid rather than with my phone. curious to see what we'll get here... ;)

Re: Using the N8x0 AS a bluetooth keyboard
I don't think xkbd-bthid has worked for anyone on a tablet.

Re: Using the N8x0 AS a bluetooth keyboard
xkbd-bthid was rather limited due to only supporting a subset of the BT HID specification; as I recall, it would work on Linux (which supported either that basic version, or the full version) but not on Windows (which only supported the full version). Since this works with Windows, I think it's fairly safe to assume it'll work with anything.
Guess we'll find out, though. Oh, and Faheem: :p it worked for me, once, way back when... (OS2007) |
Re: Using the N8x0 AS a bluetooth keyboard
Fair enough Benson :p
Hehe, I'll probably be able to replace my Sony Ericsson with this (the "remote control" feature of SE phones is proper hid :)) |

I too am really looking forward to a first release of this. I was intending to use my old 770 as a VNC or rdesktop client to control my multimedia living room computer, but this would be even better!
