Re: Screen protector ?
I have been using Martin Fields Overlay Plus (at http://www.overlayplus.com/ ) as screen protector for my Palm pilots, and now for my N810. I'm very happy with it. It was actually recommended ("it's the best screen protector in the world") to me by a seller from a shop when I wanted to buy another screen protector from that shop. :-)
I can't really compare it to any of the other recommended screen protectors in this thread, though. Martin Fields ships from Hong Kong. They have a speedy delivery and I've always recieved the package lot faster than they state on the web page. |
Re: Screen protector ?
I chose the free shipping and got my Invisishield within 1 week. Went with the full body shield since I hate scratches anywhere. It was a bit of a pain to put on and I had to redo 1 or 2 sections. After about 10hrs it looks awesome. The skin molded itself to the slight curves and the N810 is now super shiny! Not only is it scratch proof but I found out that it's also finger print proof! Much easier to grip too. Now I can slide it across a table or whatever and not worry about any scratches. This product is awesome and for me was worth $25 bucks.

Re: Screen protector ?
Maybe I'm one of the idiots who can't seem to work the search feature correctly, but has anyone tried a cheap ebay iphone protector like http://cgi.ebay.com/3PCS-SCREEN-PROT...QQcmdZViewItem ?
Seems like a ridiculously good deal. I'm a very careful user, so I'm just looking for something to give me a little extra protection (my n810 has been going commando for the past month, no scratches or anything) |
Re: Screen protector ?
Really? Nobody's tried it? I got an *****load of misc screen protectors for like 30cents or less each comin from eBay (mostly Hong Kong).
I guess I'll be letting you know how they work out. |

I saw some advice to apply the screen protectors in a bathroom after you have showered, the principle being that the tremendous humidity for 15+ minutes beforehand will eliminate most dust particles from the air. It's especially good against fingerprints because your hands are free from skin oils after a shower. I can't say if that particle/ humidity thing is true, but I can say that I have installed three screen protectors in that way, and two of those are "perfect." Joe |
Re: Screen protector ?
I bought this one from ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/3x-PDA-LCD-SCREE...QQcmdZViewItem
It came with 3 and they fit perfectly and they are easy to apply. It's not exactly easy to apply without dust or air bubbles, so I'll have to try it after a shower. It's nice that they're reusable too. I ended up scratching one with the included squeegee by rubbing it on the sticky side. I tried buying a psp screen protector, but it got lots of scratches as I remembered psp's are not touchscreen. |
Re: Screen protector ?
The screen protector I use is the DuraSec one. (http://www.amazon.co.uk/DuraSec-High...2131744&sr=8-1)
Well actually I bought the one for the N800 even though I have an N810. It fits just the same but at the time there wasn't one for my model ;) I've previously have many screen protectors on things in the past, and have never been happy with them, they always changed the light and picture quality or let a sneen on the screen that caused reflections to show up. BUT this one is totally different!! It's thicker that I would normally expect, but once it's on, you'll never know! It's like a gel, and really doesn't mark at all, or scratch like the plastic ones you can get. There is no reflection and no change to the screen at all! It's amazing!! I've had it one for a year and a half and it's still going good, just like the day I put it on!! It's well worth paying a little extra and getting one like this! They really do last longer and the quality is just so much better! |
