I had same problem, you have to manually create thore directories before upgrading

like:
mkdir /usr/share/man/man1
mkdir /usr/share/man/man2
mkdir /usr/share/man/man3
mkdir /usr/share/man/man4
mkdir /usr/share/man/man5
mkdir /usr/share/man/man6
mkdir /usr/share/man/man7
mkdir /usr/share/man/man8

I had about 124mb swap space, but that's not the deal.

If you don't kill nepomuk, it will kill you. Nepomuk is annoying little thing, that is creating some kind of search database, and that really slows down small tablet... Go to systemsettings => advanced => Desktop Search, and disable it. That should help a lot :)

That repo is the only location i know. The latest KDE i tested before the repo gone mad, didn't work correctly anyway.
