I went for this deal today. I paid $400 for my N800 the week after it was released. It is still working well.

I just ordered it for $223 from PC Connection. A little more, but it will arrive tomorrow ;)

Actually, I'm waiting for the RX-51 (or maybe a Pandora, when if they show up), not a cheap N810, but if they drop low enough, maybe I'll get both...

I'm also thinking of waiting.
Do you think the RX-51 will be a LOT better than the N810 at things like MSN video chat, internal RAM, reading external DVD drives, other things the N810 had trouble with (and needs a little boost in power)?
Thanks!

grrr - us on the other side of the pond still have to pay ~ 350-400$ for the N810. Just bought one - so sonny can get my current N800 (perfect for a 3 year old - mytube + converted movies makes the N800 perfect as car dvd replacement).

I just visited Amazon.com. It seems the price has dropped by about $100 US at quite a few retailers.

This thread and this one cover the details, but we know for sure it's an OMAP3 (N8x0 are OMAP2), and it looks to be clocked up to 600/430 vs. 330/220 & 400/133 for N8x0. RAM is currently unknown, but should be at least doubled.

New new low. I got mine just last week as an "open box" item from MobileCity.com for $199.99. The device was in mint condititon, only missing a car charger (which, since the website said it came with one, I am trying to have shipped to me after the fact.)

Ya know, all these crashing prices on the n810 can only mean one thing...well, two really. 1) We all score major deals on a great tablet, and 2) the n900, also known as the RX-51, is due to be announced soon, and thus Nokia is winding down n810 production. :)
