Confirming. RC4 works just fine so far
But ... how could I download cover art? Is that feature gone for good?

Regarding video playback - it is quite jumpy.
Some Youtube flicks are downloaded and played through mytube + mplayer, they play without jumps - but when canola takes them from mytube cache, the stream jumps all the time...

I haven't tried RC4, but with RC3 I installed the Tuning Tools for Canola2 - since there are two of them, I tried them both.

The direct plugin doesn't show up for me in Canola2.
The Python app (installs two apps for thumbs and covers) doesn't work too.

My canola stopped working as i did some upgrade before, now tried to go to RC4 and i get this:

I guess It stayed screwed up from a previous install... any suggestions? :)

with RC4 installed I can no longer play audio tracks through using the 'My Music -> Browse by folder' option; after navigating to a music folder and selecting a track (mp3) nothing happens; playback does not start and the UI does not react anymore except for letting me scroll in the very same folder (no going back to the upper directory or selecting another track possible);

anyone else experiencing this behaviour?

I have the exact same error message now and mine wasn't screwed up before. Running apt-get upgrade in the terminal pulled in a few updates to xserver stuff, which got rid of the "Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display ":0.0"."
But I still get the error in controller.py with options.theme, even if I wipe out my .canola directory under home to start fresh.

My issue seems to be resolved with the latest update to python-efl. Nice little update :)

This is what I get when trying to play music from "my music" -> "browse by folder". The space where the song is turns blank and nothing happens. Canola2 rc4.

Wow... very interesting. Usually later releases provide improvements, but I'm surprised about these updates because they feel like steps backwards for Canola2.
