Re: N900 Power Consumption Profiles
OK. lets go the other way. how fast can you burn through a battery?
On my E90 I get multiple days battery life. BUT, if I'm listening to podcasts (LCG Jukebox is a notorious batt. Hog) over Bluetooth while browsing the web, and recording GPS points, I can drain a battery in 3-4 hours. Shall we see who can drain a battery fastest, and how they did it? |
Re: N900 Power Consumption Profiles
Jam a paper clip into the battery connectors....that'll drain it.
I'll bet TV-out drains it too. |

Re: N900 Power Consumption Profiles
Anyone here using MSN, AIM, Yahoo etc and tried being connected with those all day? Does it remain connected while the N900 is locked and make a sound when a message comes in?
That was what I hated about WinMo, when in standby it halts the CPU so cannot remain connected to IM without staying powered up and simply blanking the screen, which drains the battery fast. |

Re: N900 Power Consumption Profiles
Sorry for pushing such an old thread but some people land here through google like me. I researched a little bit and the N900 has this feature too.
Read more about it here http://wiki.maemo.org/Wifi_power_saving_mode Btw: As far as I see the powersaving is set to max automatically in the newest version :) |
