xchat is in extras devel (standard dont add stuff from extras devel unless you are aware of the risks disclaimer) works pretty well.

m also using xchat.... it crashed once but other than that it works pretty great....

Options for IRC are:
- Pidgin (Extras)
- irssi (Extras-Testing)
- web sites like http://webchat.freenode.net

X-chat is steady enough that even I have it on My Mo, though it's a bit ugly and clunky, it does work.

i have installed the irc plugin for conversation. Connect with the irc server is ok but how i join a channel? when i try to /join #room the server says unknown command, use /msg NickServ help. But when i use this command then comes the same message. What is to do?
