Yes, I just got the same error message. This is sad, though since Amazon bought Audible I can play Audible books on my Kindle.

But I had been able to play them on my N900.

What does this error message mean, anyone?

Answering my own question: It seems that this has happened to other people with other devices over the years, and the solution could lie in a new version of Audible Air. I'm checking further and will report back if I solve it.

Solved!

You need to install new software (new this year) and it is VERY DIFFICULT to find it on the Audible site.

So just go here to download the software to your N900 and then install it as you would any Palm program (choose the Treo option):
