That does look quite an interesting app, I'll have to take a look at the source and see how complex it is (as it will obviously need to be a re-write whatever happens)

would this be enough for the community port it to maemo if waze themselves dont have the time?

its not that they dont have the time, they say that they dont have the sorce code.
if the community has the source code then i hope the community itself can do alot bettr than others.
