Sasler, I've downloaded the latest version and its great! The currencies (including new ones that I've added manually) are now sorted nicely and the scrolling through of currencies only happens vertically without side scrolling. (See people like me do appreciate and notice your work).

I've noticed that when you add a new currency you have to do it via the Euro to other currency (which isn't a problem at all and only took a couple of seconds for me to figure out). Also, the date that it shows when you start it is the last exchange rate update I am assuming.

I don't know what else to ask for in such an application.

You've done an awesome job! :)
Thanks!!!!!

Thanks! :)

Yes, you seem to have figured out most of the things by yourself. ;) I'm just about to start writing the help files for it, but I'm lacking inspiration. Once they are eventually done, I can finally promote this to Extras-testing.

And yes, the Euro is the base value, since it updates via ECB. That is why it does not allow to change or delete it.

Nice application :)

Enhancement Request: the Tax Rate could accept 2 decimal points. Since in USA - California its 9.25 - 9.75% depends on location.
So currently I can only enter 9.7

Thanks :)

Done! :)

I also added now a check box called "Auto Upd." to select whether automatic update during start-up is wanted.

These features are available in version 0.4-1, which should be now in Extras-devel. :)

Now if I only could write the help file... Anyone feels like writing one? :p

I've grabbed the latest version and its looking great. I am willing to write a help file. If you could point me in the direction of an example that you would like to use as a template, I'll do what I can. :)

You can add it yourself. Click on Settings > Edit > click on the field next to Currency and enter 'VND' > click on the field next to Rate and enter '26493.77' > click on the field next to Description and enter 'Vietnam Dong' > finally click on Add

VND will now be on your list of currencies.

I got the 26493.77 exchange rate (1 euro to dong) from here: http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi?Am...2&image=Submit

I would need some simple html pages. Basically a structure like this:

Main page

Short explanation of the app.

Links:

Converting currencies
Updating
Settings
Editing currencies

----------------------------------

All those link pages would need a little how-to explanations.

You can install my Countdown Timer to see how I've done it. It's in Extras-testing.

If you can do this, I would really appreciate it. :)

Are you running the latest version? See for updates in Extras-devel.

Can you tell me exactly what you did? What were the currencies you were using? Can you replicate the error?

Thank you for your feed back. :)
