I'd be interested to hear how the N1 battery life compares, with similar usage profiles.

It is my opinion that the N900 hardware is better, and the N900 running android would be the best of both worlds. Theoretically that is possible...

...someday...

While it pains me to say this the Nexus One hardware is actually better, better CPU, more RAM (tough we got Swap).

We do have the internal 32Gb that's nice, and the Flash in the camera, but apart from that I still wonder why they didn't use a Snapdragon on the N900... (I'm guessing a lot of it has to do with the SGX chip)

I would definitely love an N900 with a Snapdragon(or the new Hummingbird but being Samsung might be harder) and 512Mb RAM (maintaining the swap or even reducing it to 512Mb)

The Snapdragon is dubiously better. Same architecture, issues with the graphics.

Qualcomm and Nokia have been going at it fiercely for years, and when the N900 entered design stage I suspect a number of things were in play, including their pre-existing and extensive relationship with TI and the Snapdragon only just exiting sampling phase.

The only thing that has me disappointed is TI being so slow with their A9 based processor. I'm still baffled that Nvidia is the first out of the gate with the Tegra 2.

I look at the overall package. Sure, N1 has the snapdragon, but the N900 is overclockable. The N900 also has a front-facing camera, and an FM transmitter, and an FM receiver, and an infrared port, and a hardware keyboard, and stereo speakers, and a stylus.... i could probably go on. N1 has none of that. So I like the N900 package better for its overall feature list.

Had my N1 for about an hour now. One-handed portrait operation is nice to have.

I'm going to buy N1 next to my N900 while waiting the MeeGo god phone (;)) and would be interested to know about the browser.

My N900 is overclocked to 900mhz and ~70% of flash video sites play ok or smooth. How would you compare N1 flash performance to N900? How about the browser in general compared to N900?
