Strange, I don't have 4G where i live, but the 3.5G connection can get a 10Mbit connection nevertheless.

seeing as both verizon and at&t are going to be using LTE as their 4g technology, Sprint with its wimax will likely be left in the dust.

Most major manufacturers have said they are pretty much dissing wimax and heading straight for LTE including the like of nokia, motorola

Pretty much agree. WiMax is not capable of nearly the data speeds of LTE and is more expensive to deploy. Plus LTE integrates data/voice service, replacing separate 3G/GSM service. But WiMax is still separate from Sprint's CDMA voice service.

IOW, Sprint is screwing up again, investing in another incompatible, less capable technology. WiMax is a loser.

Nope, they're not screwing up. They're doing it purposely to once again vendor lock their customers. They don't want you to go to anyone else, so they're more or less ensuring that you don't without going through a lot of pain and suffering. Yes, it'll all backfire on them, but it's not a screwup. It's intentional.

T-Mobile is actually Deutsche Telekom and it is the only big provider in USA for N900 3G. And it uses Europe frequencies in USA too.
