I switched to the $25 plan...couldn't deal with the latency issues. Anything over 150ms is "not recommended" for VoIP. |
Re: T-mobile USA bandwidth
I added the $10 plan online, and I got speeds from 600-800kbs. But I called in to ask them some questions about APN's, the rep reset the connection to phone and now I get 3.0mbps+.

I'm guessing it's where the yellow star is located at is where you're routed through? Yes that picture shows Kansas, but look at the distance FROM Kansas. ~1400 miles from Kansas. |

Re: T-mobile USA bandwidth
So I've got 3.5g connection through 't-mobile internet' with the EPC apn. I have 4-5 bars. I believe im now being 'routed' through Seattle, WA, or very close to it as the icons are all stacked on top of each other :)
I've tested three times, the first time my latency was 345 ms (this is the time i scrolled in the web page to make sure to select 'seattle wa, as it was closest to me... The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, time Ive gotten 130-145ms latency (just hit begin test, no messing around with selecting a location, it would select seattle, wa automatically) and 1.00-1.10 mpbs download and 0.30-0.35 mpbs upload. EDIT: It appears that whenever I open a new page, the first speed test latency is in the mid 300ms's... but subsequent 'test agains' will always have below a 150ms latency... |
