I cant remember if it is in conversations already or you need the extra protocol plugins in the app manager. I just install that by default before I set up any of my accounts. You enable it the same way you do skype from there though.

It is installed - gtalk uses XMPP protocol which is supported in N900. Start with account setup (application manager/Settings/VoIP and IM accounts) and define GTalk account.

It is enabled, someone has to initiate a gtalk call and initiate the video link.

yeah i have my gf do that and i didn't get the video link and on her laptop it stated that video option is not available.

gtalk supports video only from the web version.
just google gtalk video and you should fin a plug in to use. It works only from the web browser. So the person who calls you need to have the widge installed and call you from gmail or Igoogle.
at least that's how I do it.

is it possible to make video calls to another phone from n900 instead of skype? i cant seem to find th video call option.
