Where was the post that said it was 27th May anyway, Peter Meego on twitter said:

Ovi Store switch-over to new version with paid-content when most have upgraded later this week. PR1.1.1 #N900 must update then to access.

That could also mean tomorrow, or saturday I guess...

The conversations blog said the 27th. I'm just going to assume the updates will come US time

A contributor on the Nokia forum is saying that it is between 7pm and midnight tonight (presumably, that's because the West Coast midday in the US is 7pm in the UK and the contrib on the Nokia forum was in the UK).

nokia should make a ovi store app for the n900 like all the other noika devices.
