Re: Watch World Cup with N900?

^Agreed!! The N900 can't seem to open the media player on ESPN's website or any other website for that matter. What's up with that?

Thanks nosa101 but ,with myp2p I could watch in the browser. But flash is too unreliable. Do you know of any streaming links that I could use in mplayer or the media player?

I'm using www.tvcatchup.com and clicking on the low res tab. The advert is jittery but once the channel loads click full screen and just leave it be... It should run pretty smooth after a few seconds.

When I try tvcatchup it wants to launch the link in the N900s built in media player and then whinges: 'unable to open playlist corrupted'

How did you get around that?

ESPN has the games in the US. I have forgotten if they have N900 compatible video. I believe it's probably Flash based. I just watched the South Africa - Mexico game on the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Company) . Next game is 1430.

you can try the links at channelsurfing.net

i havent tried them yet, but they are flash players usually. If there is a real stream behind the flash player, sometimes you can figure it out from source view

Just like to say I watched the entire mexico - SA game on a firstrow link and it was great. Perhaps two spots where it stuttered (I was on wifi) but the rest of the time perfect. I checked it against the TV broadcast and it was perhaps 5 seconds delay - you cant beat that.
