Thanks I will keep trying to work on it. I would hate to reflash my phone and the email problem is still there ya know.

No you shouldn't have to reflash...but if you did it can be a very simple process if you back up... but, you say that you have deleted all of your email acounts, replaced them, and still nothing? ... also, double check your normal troubleshooting, like take the time to check every setting you can find in the email account: settings for the email app AND the sttings for your individual account

Yeah I did all of that yesterday went thru all my settings in the email app and account. I only have one email set up which is gmail thru nokia messaging. I'm about to recheck them again to see if anything is fishy.

oh yeah? Try using the regular Gmail not through nokia messaging... I use gmail, just with the normal setup for a gmail account...works for me, worth giving it a shot anyways. Worst thing that would happen is the 5 mins of your life wasted to delet the account and put nokia messaging back in

But that that's one of the problems it take hours to sync my inbox for my gmail account with nokia messaging!!! :eek: its only suppose to sync a month worth of emails which shouldn't take hours.

Yeah, I am still having some issues... I did a re-flash (was stupid easy) ran the updates and backup & now the email is working a little better... but its still very delayed & I get messages sometimes hour or so after they are sent... sometimes longer. Oh well... Ill keep hoping its fixed.. but I am already looking at other phones. Email is just too basic a function for a smart phone.. makes no sense this one cannot pull it off?

Yeah me too. I reflashed this weekend ( yes very easy) and they email is a tad bit better but not 100% fixed. Now i know its on Nokia end cause I set the email up right after the flash and still not working right.

I have the same problem and feel sick and tire with it, I find the problem may not in the email client but the phone's internet connection. I set up auto retrieval every 5min. and it worked fine until I upgrade to current firmware, now it won't check mail as set, I can't predict when it will check. I see that some time it tried to check mail but the 3G link is not up, I must manually send and receive to do it, so I missed many mail. I've the same problem with older N phone as well, the internet connection did not go up as needed.

I have also same problems as eg. lotech.
Mail client won´t update accounts as scheduled even when connected to network (3G) or it updates accounts and gives new mail announcement something like ones in a month :mad:
Manual update is also very slow process usually and when it is done mail client tells theres no new mails wich isn´t true because right after this when I go to check mails on webmail or PC´s client these show several mails that are arrived hours before. Only solution that I have found is disconnet from network and reconnect and voila now N900 mail client will find all those mail.

And once again my email is not working. Won't send via wifi or 3G. I deleted any new apps I installed before the problem and still a no go. I really think its on nokia messaging end. I can get emails but it wont send. Just say unable to send after about 5 mins. I will give it a few more days to see if it works it self out.
