The iPhone 4 is the best for MANY people, but most definitely not for me. I would take the N900 over the N9 as I see the specs currently. http://www.louisvuittonemall.com/lou...vesTitanic.htm |

Re: The Best
Wow, you guys go way off topic. Did anyone even answer his question yet? I suppose it is more interesting to talk about all the other gadgets in this thread than try to predict the future. Who knows what Nokia will do. But it seems meego will have at least one phone released, lets just pray they give it an amoled screen, slim it down a bit, and don't screw up anything we are taking for granted. I really like android for its google apps integration, and iphone for its large number of apps, but I would never buy an apple product, they make me sick. Android is okay, but anything that I have to root pisses me off because you never know what might happen. You're relying on the manufacturer screwing up and leaving a way to do that, and not fix it in future updates either. Not to mention someone has to discover this vulnerability and package it in a way that doesn't cause too much headache to install...
So, yeah, keep an eye on meego and pray that it catches on. If not, well, all this stuff like skype, wimax and google voice is going for the balls of the cell phone companies so there will definitely be some alternatives to their lame networks in the next few years. Chances are we can get another style of device for communicating if the stupid government doesn't give them a monopoly on everything. Now, back to off topic ranting! I have a few Colibri lighters and they definitely look the best, and work great, for a while anyways. I really like this one called "trident" that has all 3 types of flames, but I seem to break the top off it after a few months. Those things are a bad example, but they make like 50 different types, I probably shouldn't buy that exact one if it keeps breaking on me. LOL. I tried calling them to complain but their Canadian customer service was a French answering machine. Heh. My point is supposed to be that I actually agree with you in general. I don't even smoke cigarettes, just knowing that a Colibri lighter is refillable and looks like 100x better than a cheap plastic one makes it worth it. I think that smart people do their research and often are correct when they say you have to spend the extra money to get the best value or satisfaction or quality or whatever. There's always a cheap knockoff of everything out there, and unless you're malnourished or something it's probably worth spending the extra cash. |

Offtopic: For me the N9 would have to have 1.2Ghz processor (with overclocking ability of course), 1Gb RAM (not virtual memory), larger screen (at least 3.8, no bigger than 4.2 :P), at least 8MP camera (10MP would be ideal), hardware keyboard, HDMI out, and camera lens cover (I love the one on the N900) for me to consider it. Things I would take into consideration are capacitative screen (N900's resistive works just fine) and slimmer design (the N9 is still an internet tablet, what do you expect?) As for Meego it had better be just as open as Maemo and not dumbed down, otherwise I would stick with the N900 for quite some time |
Re: The Best
@Creamy Goodness: no amoled screen. yes, they give brighter screen, but not good under direct sunlight and in general, they degrade overtime(self-destruct if you will) -- may be there are better tech now to prevent the self-destruct feature...but I won't want amoled on anything I buy if I can help it.
