Re: N900: Cannot connect on Wifi at Home
Just a few quick questions:
1. DHCP is set up on the router. I'm assuming it's enabled on the phone too. 2. Can you ping the routers IP? 3. Can you ping an outside IP like 74.125.77.99? 4. Can you ping an outside address like 'google.com'? Try all these from the N900 and report back. You'll need to be root to ping as well. |

Seems like a DNS problem. If DHCP is enabled on the phone, you don't need to specify DNS there (AFAIK). Check DNS settings on your router, do they compare to your internet provider?

Re: N900: Cannot connect on Wifi at Home
There's a field for DNS server settings in your third screenshot. Get the DNS IP adresses from your provider and enter them there. I'd have to refer you to your router manual for more specific instructions.

Also, i observed that in Radio Type of every connection has 802.11g but mine is 802.11n, do you think is that the caused? If so, please can you advise how can i change that into "g"? |
Re: N900: Cannot connect on Wifi at Home
You don't need to specify DNS on N900 if you use DHCP ('obtain IP adress automatically', I believe it's called in the menu) under the 'Advanced' tab. You'll need to specify on your router though, refer to your manual as to where.
In the first screenshot you can see where you can change radiotype on the router. AFAIK its not necessary on the N900 its only 802.11 b/g compatible anyway. It would probably help if you could post make and model of your router. |

As unsane said it's a DNS problem on your N900. On the N900 go edit your connection. Click "Next" until you get to the last screen then click "Advanced". Under the "IP Addresses" tab select "Auto-retrieve IP address" and select "Auto-retrieve DNS", then "Save" and "Finish". |
