same problem. working fine last night, not anymore this morning.

on o2-uk got maemo.org failure just the same as rest of the community have reported.and icon's missing .and message partly update .error code 1

So are the repos down then for everyone? Is there a fix yet?

Well i guess it is down on everyone phone including mine. I almost thought that i did something to the phone

I thought just that, but google search for possible solutions maemo found the page. call friends who have the same phone and some do not pass this
