cool cool. the desire HD looks cool, I was checking it out a few days ago for fun. Have you considered the N8? Seems like that would also be a good option to have all the noob/basic functionality pretty solid, im asuming not nearly the apps of android though...

had my N900 since release in the uk, and i've had a wonderfull time with it, and never really had any complaints with it as such.i've managed to get out of my contract early without penalty so i'm going to upgrade soon. i miss the number of apps and the easyness of use of normal phones and i have never really used the N900 to it's full potential, but it's a damn good internet phone. i'd just like to say thanks for the community and the people who take time out to help and point people in the right direction and for the developers who take time out develop for the phone and make it so much better, i don't really have any bad points to make, so all i shall say is good luck for the future and keep the community alive, and once more. thank you to all.

Wow. This is the most heart-felt and sincere departure I've seen here. I hope things work out well with your new device.

ps. can i come with?

Good luck to you mate... hope it all works out..and if you want to sell your phone , email me.... but i would suggest keeping it since its the best netbook around IMHO. and you can store loads on its 32gb memory.

There are some people that will question why you are still hanging around these parts if you don't have the device in hand. I've had to endure about a year of just that for no reason.

wow... I am speechless. this departure has just raised the bar from normal /b/ -level flamewar ignition to the point that I feel it is really shame that OP is leaving.

the bolded part isn't absolutely correct but otherwise yes.

i've thought about the N8 but it doesn't excite me. when the N900 was first announced i couldn't wait to get my hands on it, but the N8 doesn't do that for me, i'm not massively bothered about the number of apps, just as long as there are good quality usefull ones available. the one thing that excites me and appeals to me about the htc desire hd is the screen size and the fact it can double up as an ereader.i'm excited about the N9, but i think it will be more of the same, an amazing device capable of fantastic things, in the hands of a mass market user.
