There is no significant difference between your and my syslog in firing up Panorama; except Pano works for me but does not for you.... Syslog should capture any system usb / storage weirdness but nothing. Strace should capture any programme usb / storage weirdness but nothing. Reflash does not help... Sigh! I fear that this is so idiosyncratic an issue that it will remain unresolved...

You could try a complete reflash (both OS and storage) and install Panorama first. If that failed then there simply has to be a hardware issue. Is that knowledge worth the effort?
