gPodder, FeedingIt, KhtEditor, FapMan, KMPlayer.

I had an idea for a spiritual successor to Angry Man. It's called Angry Dev. You get to annoy the dev by typing in feature requests while he's trying to debug existing code. If you can delay his project long enough, the dev is contacted by Nokia and told that there is no point in continuing to develop for Maemo 5, and you are declared the winner.

:D

You know--if there is one app that stood out as my absolutely favorite, that made my N800 worth every dollar despite Nokia's appalling treatment, it was definitely gPodder. THP (Thomas H. Perl, the author) welcomed suggestions, made constant bug fixes, added and removed features all depending on what the members of the community provided to him via bugtracking as well as forum comments. He gets my vote for an excellent five stars all-around: excellent application, excellent example of open development, excellent example of open source, excellent example of customer service (for a FREE app!! PLEASE donate to him, I did and you should if you like and use his app.), and he seems to port his app to work everywhere he can with ongoing support for every version on all these platforms with the help of the community.

Kudos to gPodder and especially to THP! Truly, he is "the man!" :)

PS - also, fapman for my near constant giggles EVERY TIME I SEE THAT NAME!
