Aw man, still no luck, i tried to edit the vodafone APN that showed up, then save it, but it's gone :(

I've been trying to recreate the condition to make it appear but i can't seem to do it again...

look just set the settings as i said before and save dont try and edit it afterwards because it will disappear again if it's listed under apn it should work when i change my setting to those on the wiki page i lose my apn put it back to the one's i mentioned and its back and working again. so litteraly change NAME and APN and just leave the others as they are and save

Create new APN doesnt appear in my menu :(

I do have the same problem...
One of my wild guess in permission on mmc where the file of APN is saved; could be one of the reasons that APN is never saved successfully.

Help anyone...

Try to add one accesspoint with "wap.vodafone.co.uk" as the APN save it, then Menu>NewAPN then create another APN based on the local operator. Then activate the corresponding APN according to your local network operator Menu>Save. Then Reboot.
