try cd /home/user/MyDocs
Space after cd and capital M and capital D

Why is everyone asking how to install Gingerbread (Android OS V2.3.) to the N900 ??? , it does not and never will work on the N900 so foget it stay with Maemo !!!.

You need maemo flasher to flash your emmc with the Mido.Fayad emmc which you have downloaded

when i open multibootfile with leafpad form x-term is just blank.....and yep,i have the same error with guru meditation....:confused:

(multiboot.item <-= this is the file? ) anyway was blank

No, you have to open the multiboot file by typing

leafpad <path/to/file/multiboot.d11<PRESS THE TAB KEY>
If you don't press the tab key leafpad will open a blank file that it has called "multiboot.item" rather than the actual file you need to edit.

nothing happends :|.i do every thing ...but when i press "tab" key is like nothing was done,nothing happends.I'm sure that is something that I missed,anyway,do I have to start from begining of tutorial?


Solved: Just inserted a 2gb memory card and it works perfect !! without editing anything :)

Type "MyDocs" instead of "mydocs". Linux is case sensitive.
