My advice would be to tweak the value down until you find the lowest value which still works - this will maximise your battery. Someone needs to open a bug report for this and everyone experiencing this problem should provide details of their access point (make, model and firmware) so that Nokia can identify the problem/fine tune the settings. A GUI option in the Connectivity applet might be a good idea in future as a failsafe for anyone hitting this problem so they don't need to meddle with gconftool settings etc. |
