If you update using OTA they will still be there. :)

Not for me at least. Consider yourself lucky :-) .

Someone should just compile them and put somewhere to download.

apt-get install qt-components-examples worked fine with the default repos, meegotouch-demos-widgetsgallery failed and googles answer is, mh, "extensive". ;) I'm unsure what could be the right thing I had previously on my device. :)

swype keyboard is fine until you open the terminal, you can't close it :(
Hiding the Keyboard: To easily hide the keyboard, just Swype from the Swype key to the backspace key.
(doesn't work)

oh, also the screen gets completely messed up if i open the hardware keyboard now, like when trying to send an sms.

no, i want someone else to confirm first. i'm rebooting now. tracker-store is using 100% cpu for last few hours and it won't charge.
