Morpog: Does connman support managing infrastructure WiFi hotspot? That would be quite an important feature to have. (But ad-hoc should be supported too).

For me the most important "apps" are:
- Native SIP integration
- OpenVPN support
- WhatsApp
- Maps-App
- Navigation-App
- Wifi Hotspot (with WPA encryption)

FM-radio (kinda hardware dependant)

Easy SSH and SCP access (confígurable in settings) with password or key files.

Ability to sync with Outlook / Thunderbird - calendars, contacts, notes, tasks, etc.

-decent native (Firefox) web browser with desktop functionality including all plug ins- saves me the effort to wish for "an app for that"

-proactive firewall software like Little Snitch or Comodo Firewall on PC or Firewall IP on jailbroken iDevices.
Because I like to see what is phoning home over IP and figure out why.

-camera application that allows the maximum of manual tweaking

-a document scanner with the easy of use of Frontview on N900

-a wifi hotspot web server portal software including file downloading / uploading / secure account management / chat function (seems like fun on the train and I have heard this device has a mostly idle dual core and lots of RAM on board + 2nd half battery pack? :)



This is a phone and not funded by MS so I consider below not wishlist stuff but naturally integrated:

-XMPP / Jingle client with OTR and ZRTP not as an app but integrated incl and supported during the life time of the OS with Video call support if that is not asked too much
