How come? it's still roughly 2.5 weeks of september left... that qualifies well for "a few weeks", doesn't it?

Technically maybe. But usually it's "One, two, many" - so if it's ~2 weeks, I wouldn't have said "a few weeks".

OTOH, I couldn't care less as long as I know they're working on it. :)

juiceme: there are also patches for search text on page and text selection to letter instead of whole word available :)

Also, to me the 'few more weeks' doesn't sound like 'just around the corner'. Oh well, in Jolla building they do have indeed long walls and far corners... ;)

- QT5.2
- Search support in media player
- Automatically save draft emails
- Improved Homescreen performance and Sailfish
- Browser engine update to Gecko 31 (improving scrolling performance)

sounds good :)

Nope. At least not in colloquial British English, where generally the terms are seen as:

One: 1
A couple: 2
A few: 3 or more, generally no more than about 5

But I was being tongue-in-cheek in any case.

~ Offical annoucement ~
Uitukka (Sailfish OS Update 9!!) is just around the corner, hold on!!!......

Hi all,

Now that the Finnish summer heat has cooled down, we’ve been working very hard to finalize and polish our next Sailfish OS software update. We have great new stuff to deliver to you, and we’re almost there. However, we believe we need a few more weeks to ensure good quality especially since this is a major update including Qt 5.2.

Rest assured, we are committed to bring this release out during this month.

Thanking you for your patience,

Jolla team

Is anyone else horribly disappointed that there is still no progress on the copy/paste capabilities? How long can it possibly take? Also, the list does not include improvements on the beta-quality CalDAV.
Between that and all the Android c**p not working, I've been thinking about performing some necromancy on my N900 and seeing for how long I can keep it alive this time...

Yes now that you mention it..
I find myself regularly trying to copy paste stuff from the browser for example.
Unlinke 2010 I am no longer surprised such simple action does not work or is not allowed.
Time to head to together.jolla.com to doublecheck and see if I voted already for system wide copy / paste. ;)
