N900 uses the micro usb, also I emailed and asked mimo if it would work with the N900 and they said no. The monitor gets it's power from what ever device it's plugged into, so if the mimo was plugged into your N900 the battery would probably drain in like ten minutes.

i placed my order on amazon usa like a week ago i have a prime membership so 2 day free shipping anyway they didnt email me or put at least an estimated relsease date on amazon so does anyone know about amazon usa expected release date bcz i need my device before 12 november :( since am traveling outside US

Im ashamed to admit I went out and purchased the Archos android tablet ... Pure Garbage. figured it would hold me over till the N900....

Unfortunately Archos makes crappy devices. They have so much potential but the software lets them down every time.

I originally pre-ordered my phone with nokiausa.com but had to cancel it cuz i heard they usually ship the phone after the other retailers. so i went and bought the phone from buy.com. i ordered it beginning of october. the past 6 days, i called them every single day just to make sure that they will ship it soon. i had talked to 5 different reps and they told me that it will be released on october 22. so of course just to make sure that they give me the same date, i called them everyday. But today when I called them the rep told me that the release date was pushed to November 22! i was shocked and couldn't believe it. So I waited for 3 hours and called them back to make sure she was giving me the right info. Unfortunately they both said November 22. Since I want to get the phone right away, I went back to Nokiausa and ask them if I order today will I get the phone at the end of October as stated on their website. here's the conversation i had with them.

I got this email after sending an email today to amazon us and this is what they replied me and I dont know if they forgot or what but they didnot include a link to cancel or told me if you want to cancel you can cancel any time may be this thursday is the big day?

I am in Chicago and signed up for an N900 launch party/demo on November 2. :) More details on the event to follow. It makes me think that will be the Chicago release date. N97 came to the flagship store before my pre-order would be released. Nokia screwed up my order soooooo badly, I canceled my order. Lucky for me. I think that the N900 will be the start of a really disruptive piece of technology.

Sorry for those of you who are waiting. :mad: I remember the feeling and it sucks. Nokia would do well to build it's brand by adding a little transparency on shipping dates. It would add to the buzz. Instead, all you have is hand-wringing and nervousness. Nokia should know better and treat it's early-adopters much better.

So apparently shops in the UK have a few phones. My friend who lives in Glasgow got an email saying he'll get his N900 by Thursday.


Now only if NokiaUSA would give us our products.

Well I for one feel that I would prefer both your money and the raffle winner's money go to Nokia. I think if we want this device so badly and want to support Maemo then the raffle shouldn't happen, unless of course you are in a position that you are completely comfortable with buying two.

Much respect for sticking to your word though I wouldn't hold it against you if you at least asked if the raffle could be for an accessory or something (16gb SDHC class 6 card? :p)

People lusting after a €500ish device don't need accessories bought for them, make a suitable charitable donation and that way nobody has to give their address to an internet person and risk turning up one bodypart at a time in the news :)

Now that you actually would have raffled off your N900, mad props to you. I say just put a little accessory pack and raffle that off instead.

Accessory Pack: 16GB microSDHC, N900 carry case, car charger.


It doesn't matter that we can afford to buy or own accessories, it's the fact that king was going to auction off his N900 and stuck to his word, so we're letting him off so he doesn't have to part with his awesome N900.

I'd say accessory pack, or donate to Maemo.org after all this is our new home.
