From what I heard the order system is just completely b0rk3d right now. Yesterday when I was logging in there to get status I was getting apache errors, dont know if they were just webservers down or overloaded but that was bad. Even the sales-oriented product pages were getting 404s/something similar, so they are way overloaded.

Probably all of this was caused by Newegg.com's incompetence.

lol i saw that to yesterday..i was lucky enough to place my order and get confirmation about 2.5 hours before the system crash

It depends. I believe everyone who ordered before October 12 had their original order cancelled -- these orders need to be re-done.

If you ordered after October 12th then I don't believe such cancelations have been commonly reported.

All,

confirmed my phone shipped yesterday, tracking# showed up today eta tomorrow sometime. So, they are getting their craniums removed from their disposal cavities and getting us some phones.

I can feel your pain. Yesterday, I called them while on my way back from Victoria to Houston...which is about hour and 45 mins drive......and through out the way I was on hold, until I finally decided to hang up. :mad: :mad: :mad:

But that changed to :D:D when I got home and saw email from Nokia saying that my phone is shipped.

^^ you're lucky, finally someone picked up, and unfortunately was told that the phone is still in progress "IN <expletive> PROGRESS," not shipped! so no tracking no nothing, she said she's gonna write a note on my order as to why its still in progress and will try to call me back for the answer either tomorrow (which is saturday) or on monday.

this is sad, so much for express shipping

yes, i didn't receive any email about my phone being shipped already, nokia account still says the phone is still in progress, but guess what, fedex guys showed up couple minutes ago with the phone!!!! :D

I ordered from NokiaUSA on the morning of Nov 30th, got shipping notification later that night around 10:30pm. The phone arrived the next evening, I played with it for a bit until I realized the microphone was dead.

Spent about 2.5 hours on the phone trying to get an RMA, they finally gave me one and a shipping label to send it back. I sent it back the next day (to Brightpoint in Indiana), FedEx delivered it to them about 24 hours later, 3 days after that I received a notification from Nokia stating they had received the package and would ship a replacement after they "validated and approved" the device.. That was yesterday morning, no news since.

I've sent a couple emails, one was inquiring whether they'd be cross shipping the replacement because that's what I had thought was described by the woman on the phone. Though it's now apparent they aren't, they never responded to the email regardless.

My total cost was $613, and I'm currently without a phone. Probably some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. At least the tech-support lady I had spoken with was friendly..

Hey everyone
I live in India and one of my friend is currently in New York. I wanted to purchase a N900 and that too real fast as my friend will return to India in a day or two.
I just wanted to know whether my friend can purchase the phone instantly from the NY flagship store or they would take some time. In other words will my friend be able to just walk in the flagship store and come out with a N900 in his hand? If not then what is the probable waiting period at flagship stores.

Kindly help me out folks
