I am in San Luis Obispo, CA and mine is the only one I have seen. Being at a software company I was sure they would be more prevalent, but everyone seems to be on the Android kick, lots of HTC's -- mostly the manager types. Trapped in Java VM over a linux kernel, they seem to have missed the point, entirely. Very surprising to me. Have not seen one anywhere else, ever... actually. If I see someone else, I am certainly going to strike up a conversation.

not many round here in essex uk

saying that they are still rare due to vodafone having an exclusive on it and nokia not stocking many units at the minute and advertisement being kept to the minimal

i dont think the bad weather has helped with deliverys etc in the uk

there is alot of people wanting them on the vodafone forums but they are struggling due to vodas short supply from nokia

quite like it being rare but imagine the support the device will get when its mainstream :-) with the hardware and software iam pretty sure anything is possible and when people find out about it then iam sure we will see many more people take to it :-)

Never seen another N900 in the flesh.

Also am I the only N900 owner sad enough to have a browse round Mobile phone shops whilst tapping away on the keyboard. Hoping that SOMEONE must notice it soon :(

:D So sad, but I did catch a fish when buying a memory card that was on offer in Carphone Warehouse, of course I HAD to put it in the phone right away. At last!! The assistant noticed and I spent the next 1/2 hr showing him the device. It was only the fact that my wife dragged me away that prevented me staying all afternoon :D

I still pop into the Nokia Retail store in Guildford and look longingly at the lonely display model. I think I may have early onset dementia :(

I have never seen a N900 in real life! I have a N810, my geeky friend had one, and another friend had a 770. I have more friends with Droids than iPhones, but I think thats because most people like Verizon here (University of Richmond). Haven't seen any in Cali either.

I was at Starbucks with my friend in Chicago (Andersonville) and I saw a guy pull out N900 and took a shot of his girlfriend. I almost went up to him and said "Nice phone" while flipping mine out.

Still haven't seen another one 'in the wild' - not that I expected to in Derby, as even the Vodafone store staff were surprised to see one ("how did you score one of those?"). Too bad that I'd neglected to charge it the night before, so they couldn't see it in action =P

There might be another one soon though; my friend, who was previously looking at getting a phone running Android, is now thinking the N900 is the way to go...

Anyone else around in the Midlands? =3

One of our help desk guys has an N900, but apart from that I've not seen another one in the wild and as far as I know, noobmonkey is the next nearest N900 user to me.

92.3% of the population in Brighton seem to be iPhone users, although I have been showing off the N900 at every opportunity. I've found that the best way to shut an iPhone user up is to demonstrate the multitasking by opening up 7 or 8 applications then showing them the dashboard with all 7 or 8 apps still running. Never fails! :D

Only one that I know of here in Boston, MA...

Felt quite chuffed though when the manager in the Tmobile store asked to see the phone and get a walk through - I also thought it was a silly question when he asked me why I chose the N900 over one of their android offerings!!

Hmmmm....

I would love to see some kind of numbers for this device as its the first Maemo phone - we hear all kinds of numbers here about the popularity of android and the iphone, it would be nice to see how popular the N900 is around the world. Preorders back in November seemed to be hectic - after all amazon.com at one point were saying it would be over a month before some of the orders started shipping! Makes me wonder how popular and what sort of demand there is for this awesome device...

hi im currently in Barbados(Caribbean) and ive seen about 8-15 of them...i was shocked as BB dominates the market here(not because of them being great devices...its a network service/lack of service issue)....
so much so that were trying to create a little geek group/get together here in Barbados to get us all together...
(btw 3 females in the group....even more shocking)

Was at a friends house helping him look for reasonably priced phone, while his other friend was there i whipped out the n900 to check a text. He said WOW that's the N900 can i shake your hands? Lmao. Then he proceeded to ask me if he can hold it for a bit and listed the specs to my friend and told him this is the mini computer he needs to get lol. Felt real proud of my phone there. Was shocked my self didnt expect to find anyone who knew about, that i haven't told.

i know already 2 other persons with a N900 besides me, and the 3th is also already ordered.

Also belcompany a store in my city had last weekend a big sign in front of there store where the marketed the N900.

well i havent seen any other than the one i own. i do think that when i do see someone else with one ill end up talking to them to see if they think its as amazing as i think it is. no doubt they'll agree :)

Im at uni in Bath where I hav'nt seen any yet...but my home is near Portreath so I guess I'm not far from you...I was at home when I got my N900 in the post back in December so, there has been one in the near vicinity of you recently! :)

Im in the midlands in stoke on trent, also frequent south manchester with work, i have yet to see one anywhere, ive never seen one other than mine not even in a store lol.

Even working at t-mobile I have yet to see anyone else with an N900. Actually, people now refer me to the N900 guy.

1st post, N900 less , grr went into vodaphone, liverpool st, just to see if they had N900 in stock, thinking no they won't. Anyway big queue and the guy in front of me picks up a new N900 box so thinking hmm, might be in luck, yep cancel my O2 contract a month early but hey, finally get to the sales guy, last one, might be some in next week. No N900 for me that day, so someone around Liverpool st has one.

Well I stay in North Carolina and haven't seen a N900 yet....some guy who works at Verizon Wireless actually told me about his dream phone which happened to be a N900 (but couldn't afford it at this time) so I looked into it and had to buy it. So hopefully I will eventually know someone else who has a N900

Sup guys, my n900 arrived late last week, just wanted to say its unreal, I can't put the damn thing down! Haven't seen anyone else here in Minnesota with one quite yet though, but I am sure there are a few n900 owners out there especially with T-Mobile's awesome 3G coverage here in the Twin Cities!

I personaly have not seen anyone with one N900 in hand here in manchester but i saw bout 100 boxes waiting for owners in local nokia shop when they got them in to store (bout 2 weeks after my special delivery preorder arrived from nokia) wonder if i ever see any geek with it?????

Yeah , everyone in university is using an iphone and I have seen 1 n900 as of now in my uni.

My flatmate has one - we may be the UK's only two-N900 household? - as does a friend, but apart from those (which I see regularly) I haven't seen others in the wild. I've seen those "multimultitasking" adverts that others have mentioned, and also advertising in Vodafone shops here in West London.

I can be found on the Hammersmith & City tube, too :)

Anybody travelling between Bracknell & Uxbridge, UK, could you please suggest me what FM frequency to set in the N900 FM transmitter for car? The frequency i set in n900 always get overlapped by other FM's after few minutes of driving. :-(

Awwww, used to live in CHalfont ST Giles, and work in Bracknell - but alas that was in the pre-N900 days :) - would be useful to know as i'm up that way alot :)
